There are four criteria you should consider when you select a vitamin.
1. Vitamins should be natural. It's been proven in labratory tests that natural beta carotene can destroy tumors while the synthetic version of beta carotene has no effect on tumors. 2. Minerals should be present in natural vitamins. It takes vitamins to assimilate minerals into your body. Example, vitamin D is what allows calicum to absorb into the bones. Vitamin C allows the body to absorb Iron, etc. So, taking vitamins without minerals makes no sense. 3. Vitamins should contain enzymes. Have you ever been lactose intolerant ? That's because you lacked sufficient enzymes normally present during digestion to break down diary products. Sometimes, those enzymes need to be replaced. 4. Vitamins should contain natural bacteria. Natural bacteria is used by our body to help with digestion. These bacteria live in the small intestines. Without them, we could not digest our foods. Sometimes these bacteria our destroyed and need to be replaced. Especially after we have taken antibiotics.
